This state of mind may be brought about either by oneself unaided (self-hypnosis) or with the help of another person. If this other person is a trained professional, who utilises the resultant state to encourage beneficial change to occur, the process is referred to as "Hypnotherapy".
This is dependent on several factors, however, Hypnotherapy is generally considered to be a fairly short term therapeutic approach. This means that if Hypnotherapy is likely to have a positive outcome, then this will become apparent within a relatively few sessions.

Clients remain in total control through the sessions. They are conscious of their surroundings, can talk or can get up and walk about. I’m merely your guide only you can give yourself permission to make and allow the positive changes to happen.
During the initial telephone contact, it is important that as much information is gained as possible as to why you wish to make the appointment and what you are hoping to achieve with hypnotherapy. Following this initial conversation, if we feel that hypnotherapy is a viable option then we will make a convenient appointment for a face to face consultation.
